Today offers (too) much to be seen for a driving vacation. Like so many other national park areas, one can spend many days in an area such as southwestern South Dakota. I would try to see the Jewel and Wind Caves, drive through the Custer State Park, and certainly see the monuments for Crazy Horse, and the famous Mount Rushmore National Memorial. We'll end this day with an overnight stay in the Rapid City area.
