Washington, DC, is probably the most popular city to visit because it has so much to offer, and much of it is free. One or more days can be filled with visits to such locations as the U.S. Capital, the White House, Washington and Lincoln monuments, the Vietnam Memorial, the National Air & Space Museum (a personal favorite), the Smithsonian, the Kennedy Center for the Arts, Ford's Theater, the Washington Cathedral, and much, much more.
