Enroute to Washington, DC, we first of all have to consider the opportunities of the day. There is a visit to Antietam, south of Hagerstown, Harper's Ferry near Frederick and Gettysburg, northeast from Frederick. As we get closer to Washington, we can visit the C&O Canal again, at Great Falls, MD.
