Headed south to Jackson, this day offers some options for the traveller. We could stop at Oxford in northern Mississippi for a visit to William Faulkner's home and the Old Miss campus. Or you could plan to stop at Vaughn for a visit to the Casey Jones Museum. Just west of Jackson is Vicksburg with all of its Civil War history. At Jackson, of course, is the state capital, the governor's mansion and attractions such as the Jim Buck Ross Museum or the Manship House.
