This morning will include a drive through the picturesque area of upstate New York, and take us to Rome (New York, not Italy). At Rome, we can visit Fort Stanix and see the Erie Canal Village. If not in Rome, Syracuse gives us another opportunity to view the famous Erie Canal. I have friends in the area, so I'm headed to Palmyra, but there are many choices for all travellers.
