Boston has something for everyone and it's tough to decide where to begin. With the short drive from Rhode Island, there will be plenty of time for doing things in the center of Boston, such as a visit to the Boston Tea Party Ship & Museum, or the Computer Museum on Museum Wharf. If the Red Sox are in town, consider a ballgame today. By all means, stop by the Bull & Finch Pub on Beacon Street, famous for the Cheers television program.
