I took a driving vacation during July-August of 1999, travelling north from my home in Sparks, Nevada, up through Idaho and into Canada. I visited three of the national parks there before continuing north through the Yukon, and onto Alaska.
While in Alaska, I visited Fairbanks, Denali and Anchorage. On my return trip home, I took the car ferry from Haines to Prince Rupert and then continued driving south to Vancouver. I then took the ferry over to Victoria and another ferry to the Olympic penisula, where I have several friends living there. My last major objective for the trip was to tour the Columbia River area before returning to Sparks.
