When I can find the time, I really enjoy making children's log cabins based on the child's toy 'Lincoln Logs'. This is a picture of the log cabin I built for my grandsons who live in the Los Angeles area. The cabin has steel rods running vertically through each corner giving it considerable physical integrity. I use landscaping logs and many alternative designs are possible.
