Each winter I enjoy winter sports at Mt.Rose which is near my home in Sparks, Nevada. In the summertime, I hike up to the top of Mt.Rose, which is 10,677 above sea level. During the winter months, I enjoy snowmobiling, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. On this outing, I chose to snow shoe to the top of Slide Mountain, just south of Mt. Rose, which is about 9500 feet above sea level. This photo shows Mt. Rose in all its winter glory.
