Our port of call this day was St. Marteen, in the Virgin Islands. My family chose to spend our afternoon at a resort beach which had numerous benefits. Beach chairs and umbrellas were provided, as well as all-you-drink fruit punch (which had a rum base). Being a reserved/restricted area it limited the number of people there and that made for a less crowded use of the beach and water. I enjoyed swimming in the ocean, but due to not having put on any sun screen lotion, I wound up the day with a slightly burning sunburn.
