This photo makes it seem like the pool wasn't popular, but it must have been the time of day when I took the picture. During the afternoon, the pool was unusable for things like swimming laps, simply because there were so many people just soaking in the water. The pools, by the way, were filled with sea water (salt water). Closeby were a number of shower kiosks so people could rinse off when getting out of the pool.
The people who used the main pool were of all ages, from the very young to the senior citizens. Not me, however, since I swam in the early morning hours using the adult pool. In addition to bathing, many people just relaxed on the deck chairs, getting a tan to take home, or reading. Some people just enjoyed watching other people.
