Well, today is sailing day, but we can't board until this afternoon. The cruise ship pulls into Miami around 7:00am and it takes a while to disembark current passengers and their luggage, plus restock the ship with food, beverages and merchandise. We would experience the disembark role seven days later.
So, with a morning to kill, we checked out of our hotel and left our luggage with the bell captain. After lunch we returned, picked up our bags and caught our scheduled shuttle bus to go to the ship docks.
Having been to Bayside yesterday, we chose this as a shopping site for the morning. I bought some Miami T-shirts for the grandsons and did a full tour of the shopping center. Of no particular interest to me, there were small tour boats that docked at the shopping center, taking people out to nearby islands or just for a cruise along the beach. I'm not much of a shopper but I must admit I do like to "window-shop" and see what the local vendors are selling. Most often their prices are marked up quite a bit, so one really has to want a given item and be willing to pay the marked up price.
