This photo shows my grandson taking a dip in the very warm Atlantic Ocean. Not much in the way of waves, and no sign of sharks in the area. My grandson lives in the Los Angeles area where swimming in the Pacific Ocean is much colder and the waves much higher.
During the trip we swam at beaches on each of the islands visited, and again, the sand was clean and the water warm. Some people like 80 degree water but a temperature of 70 would have been more enjoyable for swimmers.
