The start of my trip could not have been better. Because of my traveling a lot, over time I have accumulated a lot of airline and hotel points. I redeemed some Delta Airlines points and flew first class on this trip. My son-in-law also travels a great deal and he treated me to two free nights at the Hyatt Regency hotel in downtown Miami. Hey, this is the way to go!
The good news is that the hotel was quite nice and quite comfortable. The bad news is that being in downtown Miami, which is full of high rise commercial buildings and condominiums, there's not much for the tourist to see in the immediate area. By way of the metro or taxi it's not too far to the better shopping, restaurants and sightseeing.
