Breakfast at the Alhambra Palace Hotel was just as good as the buffet breakfasts I had at other hotels. My only complaint is that many of the hotels don't open their breakfast service until 7:00 or 7:30AM. I'm an earlier riser (and I mean early) so my wish is that breakfast would be available at 6:00AM - at least a coffee service to tide me over until whatever time the hotel does open their service.
One thing that doesn't seem to have caught on yet with European hotels is the idea of having coffee service in the hotel sleeping rooms. Ah, but then the tap water in many countries is often not safe to drink. Bottled water was available at all our meals on this (and other) trip(s). I'm not much of a water drinker. We had wine at every meaal but often I would order beer, even if the expense was mine.
