After our relatively short visit to Cordoba, our group continued by bus to the city of Granada, near the southern shores of Spain. All we had time for to end this day was to get checked into our hotel and have an evening meal.
My hotel room, at the Alhambra Palace, was quite comfortable and appointed with the basics an American traveler would expect 'back home'. I enjoyed the mini-bar and catching up on CNN's English speaking news programs. As I do when visiting a foreign country, I try to watch one or two programs in the native language, hoping to glean something about the country.
Shortly after check-in, I found my way to the hotel's restaurant and joined others for our group dinner.
