The Sea Cloud was built in 1931 at the Germania shipyard in Kiel, Germany, for Marjorie Merriweather Post. The four-masted barque is 365 feet in length and displays 32,000 square feet of canvas when under full sail. Its four 6000 horsepower engines can be used if the wind is calm. The ship has a crew of sixty and capacity for sixtynine passengers in thirtyfour cabins. My cabin was #15, foremost on the starboard side of the Promenade deck. If you want/like to sail in luxury, the Sea Cloud is the ship for you.
