Much to my surprise, I learned that the Kremlin at Moscow is not the only Kremlin in Russia. Kazan has its Kremlin, albeit not as extensive or impressive as its Moscow namesake.
There were a number of religious buildings at the Kazan Kremlin, and the one in this photo greeted you upon entry to the Kremlin grounds. The Kazan Kremlin is a walled area much like its Moscow counterpart.
