This photo shows just one room within the Decembrist museum, illstrating the living style of this group of people. Being exiled from western Russia was not the end of their lives, their life style or their beliefs and interests. They did the best they could to establish their kind of community in the Siberian desolation and bring a sense of culture to the area.
