Alexander played for us on three occasions during the trip. He lives in a city called Irkutsk, so he traveled east to meet our train and then stayed aboard for several days until our westward bound train reached Irkutsk and he got off at his home town. Alexander gave three concerts, two in the evening and one in the morning. I found his music entertaining and attended both of the evening concerts.
The bar car seating wasn't conducive for sitting and listening to him play but it was the only usable car for this purpose. Every seat was occupied and many sat on the floor, me included.
