You saw this photo earlier, but let me make some additional comments. The deluxe compartment had a full width bench seat which folded down to make a 4-5 foot wide bed at night. The width of the compartment was about six feet. First class compartments were narrower and lacked certain conveniences such as independent temperature controls (heat and/or air conditioning).
Not evident from this photo but along the left side was a private toilet/shower and a full length closet. A first class passenger used shared toilet and shower facilities located in the so-called "shower car".
