As was mentioned earlier, the invited subject matter experts, Sharon Hudgins and Will Brooks, gave educational lectures almost every day. Initially, some lectures were given at the hotel we stayed at, but most lectures were presented while aboard the Trans-Siberian Express.
The seating arrangement, the noise of the train, the lighting and people traffic did not make the dining cars or lounge car a conducive place to hold a session. But given the professional presentation skills of both Sharon and Will, the attendees really enjoyed listening to their talks and being able to ask questions.
The lectures were optional, of course, so if someone wanted to spend time doing other things, that was their choice.
