Blarney Castle rests above the River Martin just a short distance from Blarney Village itself. The grounds that surround the castle are peaceful and beautifful - worth the visit unto itself. The River Martin (if I can be sure of its name) flows briskly past the castle, which such energy that it breaks itself up into multple tributaries going past the castle. Your modest climb up the path to the castle is rewarded by the pleasan garden-like surroundings.
