A new day, and I'm off to see the world!. Well, at least as far as Waterford, in southeast Ireland. I'm sure millions of people know of Waterford crystal, but how many have had the pleasure of visiting the town and the producer of the famous glassworks that bears its name? Well, I certainly wanted to be counted among those who have made the visit, and I'm glad I did.
I have visited other crystal factories, some perhaps with a more interesting tour, but none produced glassworks better than the Waterford factory. One could spend and entire morning or afternoon, just in the visitor's center admiring the wide range of products made here. Qualtiy and beauty show in every piece on display. Most impressive.
