I had business reasons to be in England last week and since I had no other calendar commitments following that meeting, I thought about spending a week in Ireland. I had been to Ireland once before and the visit was not a good one. It rained every day and we hiked about ten miles every day in the back country, with no other activity other than the hiking.
What I had hoped for during my first visit to Ireland was to hike from village to village, sample the food and drink at local pubs, and maybe find some Irish music to enjoy. I didn't get any of that. So, on this occasion, I traveled on my own, with my own agenda and I saw and experienced what I wanted. It was a great trip. Come along with me, read my text and enjoy my pictures.
