Today, our schedule called for an all day excursion to the Slovenian countryside, including visits to the Alps, Bled, Brezje and Radovljica at the edge of Triglav Park. These towns are to the northwest of Ljubljana.
Our first stop was an attempted visit to a church in Brezje. I say attempted because we did not get in to see the church because of the overflow attendance at the day's mass. In a sense, it was not good planning to schedule a church visit on Sunday. The mass, by the way, was broadcast by a public address system, for the benefit of those standing outside. The mass, understandably, was in Slovenian (so we didn't understand it, if you understand what I mean.....)
