On many days during our trip, our group attended a lecture of some kind, usually conducted by a local expert on some topic; economics, current politics, the history of the area, etc. Today, the lecture was scheduled for 9:00am, and me being an early riser, I was done with breakfast early (not that it was so great - cold cuts, bread and cheese), so out I went for a walk around Zagreb.
In each city we visited, it was easy to pick up a local map. In addition to the local maps I obtained, I also came with a detailed map of Zagreb. Zagreb is the capitol of Croatia and there are lots of things to see and do in the city.
I began with an early morning walk to what I would call the south side of the center of town. Pictured here is the Art Pavillion.
