Many car/people ferries operate out of Split, taking people to other Croation cities along the Adriatic coastline, and also to other countries such as Italy, across the water.
On this day, my group's plan was to take the ferry to an island called Brac. There we had hoped to bus our way to the highest peak and from there survey the horizon. While on Brac, we were also supposed to visit a rock quarry, but for several reasons, neither happened.
The day was extremely cloudy and foggy, such that when we got to Brac and bussed our way to the island's peak, we couldn't see anything. And as far the the rock quarry, we never did find it. We had an excellent, multi-course meal however.
