I'm an early riser, so between breakfast and our first lecture of the day, I went for a short walk near the hotel, partly to refresh my memory of places and things.
The main street near our hotel crosses the River Danube, so I walked out onto the Petoff Bridge and took this picture, looking north, of rhe River Danube and the Szabadsag Bridge ahead.
The Danube, in spite of the song, is not really blue - more a merky green.
That's Gillert Hill on the left, with the Independence monument reaching into the sky. There are parks, hotels and other attractions at the Citadel (top of the hill).
