Oslo is not as large a city as Copenhagen or Stockholm, for instance, but there's much to see and do. As with the other cities we visited our hotel was centrally located and within easy walking distance of many tourist attractions in the city. This photo shows the Norwegian Parliament building, referred to as Stortinget in Norwegian, built in 1861 and richly decorated by contemporary artists. The building was directly across the street from the Grand Hotel and two short blocks from our hotel.
