A new day begins, with the intense morning sun shining in Mary Kay's eyes. Everyone is dressed with the usual morning's worth of maximum clothing, probably to be shed as the day warms up. And hats too! I don't think I saw anyone without their hat during the entire trip. The sun would take its toll on you if you went without a head covering.
