As is my nature, I'm up early, certainly before 6AM, so while traveling, I make it a point to go for a morning's walk before breakfast. Depending on the location, I might see some street vendors arriving in town to set up their open market or watch the sunrise. One can never tell what you might see "before the world wakes up".
Many photographs are taken of the Greek islands, often in bright sunlight to capture the colorful buildings, mostly white with blue trim. But this morning I thought I would try to photograph the seashore in the day's early light. Unfortunately for me, the sun and the island are not oriented to my advantage. This photo was basically shot from a southern point looking north along Paros's western shoreline. The sun rises on the eastern side of the island, naturally. So be it. I still enjoyed the early morning walk.
