Our day began with some free time to visit Papeete's downtown area before embarking on our all day circle island tour. I used my free time to visit the main post office and look into buying some stamps for a collector friend of mine. I cam away with some good samples.
With the extra time I had, I crossed the street and viewed the harbor area. The picture shown here captures the image of one very large, and very expensive yacht. I assume it was a private yacht but then again it could be a charter boat of some kind. Regardless of who owns it, it makes you wonder how the money was made to purchase the boat initially. About the closest I'll come to traveling in shipboard luxury is my cruise in September aboard the Queen Mary 2. That will have to do.
