Most children are naturally curious and the boy in this photo was not any different. He watched me as I passed by and even when I stopped to take his picture he didn't let down his 'guard'. Many parents advise their children not to talk with strangers and even though I smiled and spoke softly, the boy 'held his ground'.
My taking photos of children is my attempt to document my trips with more than just photos of the things we did or saw. A friend of mine takes excellent human interest photos and I'm trying to emulate her in that regard.
