Most of the tour guides that led us on daily outings appeared to be quite knowledgeable whereas the people invited to the Inn to give us a lecture on some subject did not seem as well versed. The woman shown in this photo was our tour guide for a day's worth of visiting various gardens. She said early on that she would refer to the common names of plants and trees but if anyone in our group wanted the botanical name she could provide that as well. She moved through the gardens at a relaxed pace and talked about the various plants we saw with ease. And, she gave candid answers, in layman's terminology, when that seemed appropriate. I enjoyed the day we spent with her.
