January 22, 2007 - Land ownership lecture

Our day ended with a lecture by a reported expert on land ownership and usage in the islands. Basically, individuals do not own the land they live on and may have built a home on. Individuals have a lease on the given property and it can be passed to descendents. The lecturer gave illustrations of unusual situations caused by death, divorce or other contentions for the property
