I love to travel and now in full retirement, I expect to travel even more. Here are some examples of my recent travel experiences:

This trip focused on learning about the Polynesian people, their history and their traditions. In addition to planned lectures, there was free time for things like swimming and snorkeling. Fun, fun, fun! The visit to Tahiti was with a French flavor, and it enabled us to visit nearby islands such as Moorea and Huahine.

I flew to Rarotonga, a central island among the Cook Islands, and used it as a base of operations to tour other islands in the group. Then it was off to French Polynesia where Tahiti is the most notable island. At Tahiti, Papeete (Pah-pay-ay-tay) served as our base while we visited other islands in that group. "nesia" means island and "poly" means many. Lots of sun, beautiful beaches - what a trip!
