January 25, 2005 - Iceberg Alley - The Fritdjof Strait

01250501.htm

On this day, our expedition leader told us that our ship would take us to the Fritdjof Strait, sometimes referred to as "Iceberg Alley". He led us to anticipate some of the best icebergs to be seen and photographed, and he was right. The alley provided us with more icebergs and less ice flow along our way to Brown Bluff in the Antarctic Sound. This photo gives you an example of the typical views along our way. Gorgeous!
