The magic moment had arrived. After sightseeing and enjoying Buenos Aires and Ushuaia, the long awaited time had come to board our ship for the cruise to Antarctica. You could feel/sense the excitement among the group. This was real, we're going to the bottom of the world.
Each of us had preassigned cabins and we were instructed about boarding procedures. Once settled in our cabins, we had free time to tour the ship and become familiar with its layout and facilities before casting off and beginning our sea journey.
