January 18, 2005 - One step closer to Antarctica

We were up early, packed and out of our Buenos Aires hotel, in time to catch the morning flight to Ushuaia (oo-shy-a), a city of 60,000 people on the extreme southern tip of South America, our depature point for our icebreaker trip to Antarctica. We flew Argentine Airlines but for other than the various announcements in Spanish, you wouldn't see or feel any difference from a flight within North America.
