One day in Buenos Aires. Not much time to see and experience the city. Hindsight is wonderful - I should have considered coming early or staying after the Elderhostel program in order to have more time to explore this vibrant Argentine city. Next time.
But given that we had just the one day, after getting myself settled in the hotel, I began to explore the immediate area. Near the hotel was a statue sitting proudly in its plaza, commemorating the Argentine idendependence from Spain. Known as Plaza San Martin, it honors General Jose de San Martin, the Father of the Nation.
