It has been sort of exciting, to wake up each morning andlook out my apartment window to see if any cruise ships have come to town (Dubrovnik). Well, this morning, not only has a cruise ship come to town, but two of them have dropped anchor in the bay.
I have come up with all kinds of questions about these ships. First, what is the ship's name and who is it registered to? Then my curiosity wonders what their itinerary looks like and what other ports have they visited? I also wonder if most passengers were looking forward to their stop at Dubrovnik and how much did they know about the port before stopping here?
Hindsight is wonderful. Had I thought to "ask", I could have begun a log of some kind, keeping track of which ships I have seen. At home, I get many tour brochures in the mail and many show pictures of the various ships that are booked for the tours offered. I could correlate my sightings with the pictures given.
The two ships shown in this photo are not very large, so tourist traffic in the Old City was not too bad this day.
